Networks of cryptoasset-related investigations: how individual cases are connected

Law enforcement agencies are confronted with a growing number of cryptoasset-related cases, often redundantly investigating the same cases without mutual knowledge or shared insights. Connecting these cases via perpetrator cryptoasset addresses can speed up the process. We visualize how cryptoasset crimes of two common types: sextortion spam and cyberfraud are connected, based on the data of the Bavarian Central Office for the Prosecution of Cybercrime.
